The French deathcore and nu metal outfit DVRK has delivered its latest single, “Misery Repeat,” along with an accompanying video. The release follows the band’s 2024 debut EP, Infinite Reminiscence, and arrives as the group prepares for an extensive European tour in early 2027. Guitarist Bastien Deleule handled the recording at Nalcon Studio, while Eloi Nicod took care of mixing and mastering at Craftline Studio.
A Fresh Track Rooted in the Band’s Growing Catalog
“Misery Repeat” continues the sonic direction established on the debut EP while sharpening the blend of heavy riffs and atmospheric elements that define DVRK’s approach. The single stands as the first new material since the EP’s release, giving listeners an immediate sense of how the band has refined its sound in the studio. Production choices emphasize clarity in the guitar work and vocal delivery, allowing the track to sit comfortably alongside both classic nu metal influences and modern deathcore aggression.
Listeners familiar with the EP will notice the same attention to dynamic shifts, yet the new song pushes further into repetitive, hypnotic structures that mirror its title. The accompanying video adds a visual layer that complements the music without overshadowing it, focusing attention on the performance itself.
The Lineup Driving the Project
DVRK operates as a five-piece unit with clearly defined roles that support its dense, layered style. Julian Wilt handles vocals, Bastien Deleule and Gérald Audiard share guitar duties, Fabien Letren anchors the low end on bass, and Vincent Vidal provides the rhythmic foundation on drums. This configuration has remained stable since the EP, allowing the members to develop a tight interplay that translates well both in the studio and on stage.
Each member’s contribution shapes the final product, from Deleule’s recording oversight to the collective arrangement work that gives the music its weight and texture. The stable roster has helped the band maintain momentum following the EP’s release.
Extensive 2027 Tour Dates Confirmed
DVRK will join OBSCURA, PESTILENCE, CRYPTIC SHIFT, and THUS on the SHRED FEST Europe & UK 2027 package. The run begins January 20 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, and stretches through late February, covering more than two dozen cities across Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Belgium.
Key stops include Utrecht, Dresden, Berlin, Warsaw, Vienna, Geneva, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Dublin, Glasgow, and Paris. The itinerary also features multiple French dates, allowing the band to perform for home audiences in Grenoble, Montpellier, Toulouse, Limoges, Angers, and Nancy. Additional shows are scheduled in Dortmund, Hamburg, Munich, and several other German venues, rounding out a comprehensive sweep of the continent.
Positioning for Continued Growth
The combination of new music and a high-profile tour places DVRK in a strong position within the European metal circuit. Sharing stages with established acts such as OBSCURA and PESTILENCE offers exposure to audiences already attuned to technical and aggressive styles. The timing aligns with the band’s recent output, giving fans both recorded material and live opportunities in quick succession.
With the single now available and the tour locked in, DVRK has laid out a clear path forward. The coming months will show how the new track resonates and how the live performances evolve alongside it.
